My Southern California roots seem to show in both palette and subject matter. Western figures often appear in the representational work, reflecting the innate code of honor of the West and an affinity for the Spaghetti Western.  The  Abstract work is influenced by the great Abstract Expressionists of the mid and late 20th century in New York and the Bay Area figure painters from California.”  Mick shows a variety of artwork, including recent Limited Edition Prints and drawings. He presently teaches Painting, Life drawing and Illustration at Cal State Channel Islands.
